The DC Council earlier this year boldly and deliberately gutted the Open Meetings law, denying citizens the right to know what their public officials are doing. It’s an outrage and an insult to DC citizens.
So almost the entire D.C. Council is now meeting being closed doors to negotiate how to proceed on the expanded youth curfew emergency bill. It seems pretty clear they are negotiating legislation behind closed doors, in violation of the spirit of the city’s Open Meetings Act.

Leftwing politicians (and a Council member currently under indictment for bribery) don't want DC residents, including juveniles, to be safer. Duly noted.
NEWS: The D.C. Council just rejected an emergency bill that would have extended the summer's expanded youth curfew for another three months. The votes against came from @trayonwhite, @CMRobertWhiteDC, @BrianneKNadeau, @CMLewisGeorgeW4, and @chenderson.
