U9- A man offers to get up from his folding-seat to make place for me and my bike. We negotiate the space without words. I nearly lose my balance as the train takes off. He stays seated but in return he holds my steering wheel until we arrive at the final stop.

M41- meeting two classmates who are getting on the bus, who just met each other at the busstop, by coincidence.

TXL-bus - seated next to what appears to be an Australian family. Mother points out landmarks to her Son. We pass the Fernseh-Turm “Thats the TV-tower”. We pass the Reichstag - “Thats something too”.

U9- Amrumerstrasse, on the Platform some people are arguing, “hey-hör mahl“ Two teenage guys dressed in hoodies and sneakers holding a bottle of mate jump in the carriage the moment the door close. They spend the way to the next station giggling and mumbling indistinguishable.

U1/U3- Hallesches Tor, a man waves energetically as he escalates down the stairs from the platform. I can turn my head quickly enough to see an anonymous hand waving back at him, surrounded by other passengers, behind the window of the packed carriage of the leaving U3.
