Bradley Cooper, Will Arnett, Laura Dern, and more closed out #NYFF63 with the world premiere of IS THIS THING ON? 💚

Went to Magellan screening @TheNYFF and now I’m seated across from LAV DIAZ for dinner. Astounding. 💕✨

Martin Scorsese and ‘It Was Just An Accident’ filmmaker Jafar Panahi share a hug after their hour-long conversation earlier today. This week, Panahi made his return to the New York Film Festival after 25 years. 📍 #NYFF
Two legends of cinema, Jafar Panahi and Martin Scorsese, in conversation at NYFF.

Back stage with Bradley Cooper, Will Arnett, Laura Dern, and Andra Day as IS THIS THING ON? world premiered as the Closing Night selection of #NYFF63! 💚

This Sunday, actor Rose Byrne!

Also. Will Arnett. Holy shit.
Is This Thing On is definitely Cooper’s most intimate and subtle film and that’s why it’s easily his best. Completely floored me
Ok well now I’m crying. Really loved this actually.
The opening of Magellan might be my favorite thing Lav Diaz has ever done. It’s as if the woman in the scene is reacting to the movie starting and being seen by the audience watching her. It’s really quite disarming.

Gael García Bernal thanks Lav Diaz for "Magellan" and was already in it from the first wine with him #NYFF63
Will Arnett on if he’d ever direct after working with his longtime friend Bradley Cooper on “Is This Thing On?”: “I’d really have to get myself ready to do it.” #NYFF
A great night at #NYFF interviewing Bradley Cooper, Will Arnett and the rest of the “IS THIS THING ON?” cast.
IS THIS THING ON? shows Bradley Cooper tackling a laid-back, more intimate feature with a dramedy about second chances in life and love. Will Arnett and Laura Dern deliver some of their most vulnerable work, striking a thoughtful balance of humor and heart.

Full disclosure: I did some work on this movie, but I looooove IS THIS THING ON? I continue to be thrilled by Bradley Cooper's artistic choices, directorial vision and storytelling verve. It's difficult to make something this hopeful that still embraces the mess. It lands.

#IsThisThingOn? Can Bradley Cooper keep directing because he directed another banger. I hope Will Arnett does more dramatic roles because he’s amazing. Didn’t expect him to make me cry. Also, another excellent performance by Laura Dern. A great film to close out #NYFF63
