My take on Romantasy is that of course its mostly dumb trash lit, but that there are just as many trash lit genres marketed to men and nobody handwrings about those. Stuff women like isnt above critique, but there is an unfair imbalance to how much critique it gets vs mens stuff.

There’s an interesting convo on TikTok right now of how men weaponize food against women: the cooking, the gluttonous overeating and being inconsiderate, etc etc. Women are sharing stories of the men around them eating up food in the home with no consideration of others. Whew.
