The minimum daily dietary requirement of sugar is 0g. There are no human biological processes that require dietary sugar. Our livers have a small, finite capacity to metabolize sugar. When we overwhelm it, very bad things happen.

Study of 135K people finds high carb diets have highest mortality & high fat the lowest. Total fat intake was not associated with heart disease 😳 Authors: “Global dietary guidelines should be reconsidered.” thelancet.com/article/S0140-…

I'm quite sure health professionals have to complete CPD to be as up to date as they can be. So why is it I'm watching TV programs still spouting outdated nonsense from these so called professionals. Makes me so angry @SBakerMD @timspector @garytaubes @VinnieTortorich @lowcarbGP

Not usually an Asda shopper due to locality. But absolutely appalled today that their standard packet ham had more than 5 ingredients. Why on earth does ham need all that crap in it? It should just be ham, at best a preservative and something else not a list of ingredients.

🤔CARBS ARE NON-ESSENTIAL🤔 True, eating carbs is NOT essential. If you’re finding that confusing, I understand. “Carbs are Non-Essential” is a fact – even though it goes against everything you may have been taught. How's this fact changed your life? Pls share thoughts below.

Hearing our Health Secretary say there has never been a shortage of PPE is an insult to the doctors and nurses who were forced to go onto the frontlines wearing bin bags. We lost 850 healthcare workers. RT if you stand with NHS staff.

It's hard not to read The Case for Keto without getting angry about the wrong-headedness of nutritional advice from the '50s onward. High-carb diets are, for millions of people, slow-acting poison. My interview with the book's author, @garytaubes telegraph.co.uk/health-fitness…

Why keto is here for keeps – and how to get started on a low-carb, high-fat lifestyle

High-fat, low-carb eating remains controversial. But for some people, a new book argues, it just works

Even sir captain Tom knows that high fat won't do you any harm. He's got to a 100 in a pretty good state.
