The biggest dream for The Flashlight Project is for women to receive free counseling. It won't matter if they are the women in prostitution, the managers, or the parlors' owners. If they want counseling to work on some issue, they can have it.
We are getting more interest from people who may join our board of directors. Perseverance is the name of the game!

Things are happening for us! Thank you to the donor who helped us with our website last week. You are very much appreciated. Also had a good conversation today with a church who is interested in our mission. The week is off to a good start.
I have a Monday appointment to talk to Fellowship Dallas Church about The Flashlight Project and how to let their congregation know about our volunteer needs. Could be a good door opening for us.
We have monthly meetings via Zoom. You'll be joining a young organization with ambitious plans for our impact on the women in Dallas' erotic massage parlors.
Connected today with the English Ministry pastor at Korean Church of Dallas. Extremely nice man. He and his wife are very interested in The Flashlight Project and are connected to many people. Looks like a great door is opening for us.
Little by little! Contacted 5 churches today to learn how to bring our volunteer program to their congregations. Then contacted 5 Korean professors at Yale and Harvard to find a way to set up a network of translators for our materials.
I am a firm believer that no matter where you are in life, your future can change in unimaginable ways when your mindset changes. The results of that will be different for everyone, of course, but positive thoughts flowing through your mind are powerful.
I can personally attest that this is true. It doesn't matter what your past is. Anytime you are ready to let go of it and have something better, you can. It all starts with what goes through your mind.
The Flashlight Project is different bc we include parlors' owners and managers in programs. We bring positive mindset to all. We judge no one and instead show all women a different way to think about themselves and each other. We are the only nonprofit in Dallas that does this.
