Another flight on Aegean Airlines today, this time London Gatwick to Athens, behind the curtain. A choice of hot meal, Moussaka (which was perfectly delicious) or pasta. Also complimentary drinks including beer and wine ✈️ Happy out!

Aegean Airlines seems to be winning the European airlines food game 💪🏻

Some of the best food I’ve had on a flight was on this Aer Lingus business class service from Washington to Dublin. Super crew too! Here are the details. What do you think of #aerlingus ? travelupdate.com/aer-lingus-bus…

Happy days, my bid upgrade to business class on Aegean Airlines was accepted. Looking forward to enjoying the hospitality between Athens and London. Have you ever bid for an airline upgrade before? #travel travelupdate.com/bid-upgrade-su…

I never knew there was a mid-air collision in 1960 between a Stampe biplane and an Air Algerie Caravelle. The passenger jet landed safely. Here are pictures and video of after the plane was on the ground. Not an event one would want to experience! #avgeek travelupdate.com/air-algerie-ca…

Ever wondered what an airline operation was like back in 1980? Well now you can find out, as this book goes through what an Air New Zealand DC-10 flight was like from Sydney to Auckland back then. Anyone remember this? #avgeek #aviation #history travelupdate.com/air-new-zealan…

Who loves an airline signature drink? I know I do. Back in the 1980s Piedmont Airlines had something called Piedmont Punch which by all accounts was unbelievably popular. Did you ever try it? #avgeek #aviation #airlines travelupdate.com/piedmont-punch

This by John Collison should be required reading. He eviscerates the timidity of politicians in dealing with our infrastructure problems and also the state agencies, quangos and NGOs which now exist to stymie development and not to assist them. irishtimes.com/life-style/peo…

Well, well, well - Air France KLM detail just how many British Airways frequent flyers defected in their paid status match. Pretty interesting numbers - what do you think? #travel #avgeek #aviation travelupdate.com/status-match-o…

Here's a vintage film shot in 1964 of part of a day in the life of a Trans-Canada Airlines DC-8 pilot. Of course, TCA was renamed the following year to Air Canada and is still flying today. Lots to see here - well worth a look! #avgeek #aviation travelupdate.com/trans-canada-a…

Yikes! I was surprised to discover that I can't select a seat in business class on Malaysia Airlines... because I am booked under a codeshare. Argh!!! It's even in their T&Cs... what messing is this?? #travel travelupdate.com/malaysia-codes…

Since this has been made, I think we can all agree that "Diorama" as a thing has now been completed, and there is no need to continue playing further. A new game is now required.

Here's a United Airlines Caravelle safety card. Opening the doors in an emergency certainly seemed like some mission - you'd need to be reading the card to work out some of them! #avgeek travelupdate.com/united-caravel…
