My unc collegiate rocket league career has finally ended. It was such an honor to compete with @proskrl harlequin @FlowStateGG and qwertycube. I'm gonna miss it. We improved so much throughout this year, and we were able to achieve so many of our goals.

This. No need to argue about the extent/number of players affected. Let’s find a home for freestylers that doesn’t negatively impact any new players. There IS a win-win solution we can create if we work together.
if someone can’t play ranked until level 20, how do you expect to retain players if they’re just getting shit on in casual by people purposely deranking? i want freestylers to have a home in game, but not at the cost of new players. is a freestyle gamemode a bad solution?
The “RL freestyling = COD trickshotting” comparison is SO close but just not there. COD: your target is a player, so other players are needed. RL: your target is a goal, so other players (at least “real” players) are not needed.
All I'm gonna say about the freestyling debate is a lot of you need to talk to people outside the RL competitive bubble more. Talk to your IRL friends from HS and college who play RL casually and see how they feel about running into freestylers in casual. (1/3)
