The Flowood Police Department will be participating in the Click It or Ticket it campaign May 24-June 06,2021. This campaign blitz will be focused on Seat belts and Child Restraints. Please drive safely and have a Safe Memorial Day.
There is a statewide tornado drill scheduled for today February 24,2021 @ 09:15 AM. Rankin County will be sounding the outdoor sirens at this time. This is a perfect time to test your tornado warning plans for your family or business.
All city streets in the City of Flowood are currently open. Motorist are still encouraged to use caution and drive safely.
The City Of Flowood will not have Municipal Court tomorrow February 18,2021. If you were given a court date for a citation or a trial: it will be rescheduled for April 08,2021. The times remain the same for the new date. Thank You.
Road condition update for the city streets of Flowood. Please stay off the roadway if at all possible. A list of the following areas are Liberty Road, Grants Ferry Road, Manship Road, Wirtz Road ,Castlewoods Blvd., Luckney Rd. and Plaza Drive. Stay Safe and be careful.
All city streets inside the City of Flowood are open. Please use caution and drive carefully.
The Flowood Police Department currently has traffic taking a Detour from Lakeland Drive at Airport Road to Liberty Road. Motorist can also use Airport Road as an alternate route. The portion of Lakeland Drive between Airport Road and Lakeland Commons is closed.

Road closer (Emergency Alert) Hwy 468-Old Brandon Rd. starting Wednesday, December 16-19, 2020. Road closed for Railroad crossing replacement. Starting time 09:00am Wednesday morning. During this necessary work, this section will be closed to traffic in both directions.

The FLWD PD now has a medication drop box located in our lobby. You can come in at any time to drop of your old prescription medications. If you have any questions, you can come by the PD Mon-Fri 8-5 and speak with Evidence Custodian Tanya Thompson or call at 601-932-5400.
