Cook County reported the first confirmed case of a person with monkeypox in Cook County jail. There are 5,500 people incarcerated in that jail, today.

We want to lift up other groups working on abortion issues to help develop a bail fund focused on this area. We intend to serve as a stop-gap to get people out of jail until we can transition the resources & responsibility to an abortion focused org. If this is you, get in touch!
We're launching an initiative to support anyone who is jailed in connection with this law. We know this is a major undertaking. It will test the capacity of our funds and volunteers. But with repression looming on the horizon for so many in our state, there is no other choice.
BREAKING: In an unprecedented move, an appeals court blocked a lower court's injunction on a six week abortion ban in Georgia. This allows the ban to take effect today rather than waiting the normal 28-day period for an official mandate.
