You should think often about eternity (Psalm 90:12). Time is ever-progressing toward that preordained moment when, barring Christ's return, you will see God face to face (Hebrews 9:27). Consequently, how you live your life today has eternal significance (Ecclesiastes 12:13-14).

I'm praying this prayer (suggested by @stevearterburn). Join us? Dear God, Let your purposes be my purposes. Let your priorities be my priorities. Let your will be my will. Let your Word be my guide. And let me grow in faith and in wisdom today and every day. Amen

Don't always be ruled by your feelings and emotions. Be guided by the word of God.

"The gospel is the cure for selfishness, for division, for self-righteousness, for self-obsession. It shines a light on all that is broken and fallen in our human nature, and it points us to a solution that can heal the soul, that can guide us into the future." — @jwarnerwallace

It’s actually a dangerous thing to hear the Word of God and not apply it in your life. The golden key of spiritual growth is hearing, receiving, and obeying the Word of God.

Why study theology? 1. To know the character of God. 2. To serve the will of God. 3. To glorify the holiness of God. 4. To enjoy the attributes of God. 5. To love the perfection of God. 6. To absorb the Word of God. 7. To worship the person of God.

Two hospitals that I am familiar with have closed over 50% of their ICU beds due to staffing issues. So they now report their ICU’s are at or beyond 100% capacity. See how this works?

The American gospel message to the sinner: You are so amazing! God would be honored to have you in His family. The biblical gospel: You are so lost, but by God's amazing grace, if you will repent of your sins & put your trust in the Lord Jesus, you can become His child forever.

All Scripture is profitable to accomplish at least 4 divine purposes (2 Tim 3:16): 1. "Teaching" right doctrine. 2. "Reproof" or confrontation of sin. 3. "Correction" of error. 4. "Training" believers for good work.

If you are serious about wanting to improve education, do not vote more money for the education establishment that has been dumbing down the schools for years. Vote for vouchers, tax credits, or anything else that will transfer decision-making power to parents.

The whole Bible is authoritative over our lives, not just our "favorite verses."

If your pastor isn’t teaching you the Bible, like actually opening a Bible- reading & teaching it EVERY week, do yourself a favor and find a new church.

The problem within many of the churches that exist within evangelicalism, particularly in America, is that no one sins anymore, God is no longer a God of wrath, and all one need do to get to heaven is die. That kind of "gospel" may tickle people's ears, but it will not save them.
