The "double-time" holy grail!...Achieved it on tape once on this one and yeah, definitely would agree with the gospel lift without doubt. youtube.com/watch?v=k_MsSd…

Always been fascinated by the WoS. In truth, I've never heard any live sound anything like the Dead. It was in the late 80's but still...

“The Wall of Sound was a turning point in the entire world of sound reinforcement. By the end of the ’60s, myself and others like me had hot-rodded it and milked every nuance out of [existing P.A. systems] … We had to move to a whole new concept, scrap everything and start over.

One of the first professional gigs I had was opening up for Chris in 1992 at the Tinker Street Cafe in Woodstock NY. He gave me the Another Way to Find You album. Listened to that record for days after... Easily one of the best performers/guitar players I've ever seen.

All this "small town" talk reminded me of this track I demoed in New York City sometime in 1996 or 7 with the late, great Steve Burgh on electric guitars. Almost landed me a deal with Electra Records but alas... That Aldean guy sounds like a total prick. youtu.be/k1dgkwqROIs
