Great insight!! So perfect for the readings this weekend about sharing JOY (1st) and HOPE (2nd) through the SPIRIT (Gospel). JOY and HOPE are signs of the Presence of Christ made known through the SPIRIT. JOY + HOPE (Jesus in me) = KINDNESS and RESPECT (to and for the other).

Was brooding over a lot of hurts, mistakes, sins. (SURPRISE?!) day wasn't going well. What I saw as I drove in today reminded me of my friend Pat always saying God's mercies are never exhausted. Got to remember that hope and faith are active. I need to trust God and God's ways.

Our lack of faith limits God from working “mighty deeds” in our midst (Mk. 6:5-6). So it’s good to know also that God’s mercies are renewed each morning (Lamentations 3:22-24). God give me the faith that allows You to work mighty deeds in and thru me!
My greatest challenge is to pray each day. Not now, Lord: I'm too hurt, too distracted, too busy, too tired, too excited, too angry, too sad, too confused. Amazed at how much of myself I have to overcome, how hard I have to work to be passive before God. But it's always worth it.
What a blessing it was to celebrate all of the Masses this weekend and to see so many return and receive. My heart is full of gratitude!!
