A friend’s 16yo daughter just got run off the road here in Atlanta by a truck. She swerved to the side of the road. They pulled up beside her, blocking her. She ripped off her mask and their expression shifted. One said “oh, she’s not Asian” before driving off.
There is no place in the world for hate crimes and violence. We mourn for those lost in yesterday’s horrific shootings targeted at the Asian American Pacific Islander community, and for the exponential rise in anti-Asian violence across the country. [thread 1/4]
