The fab @castsheffield is calling for submissions to their annual art exhibition. They're a group of people with lived experience of mental health challenges & run several creative groups that anyone can attend (and are one of the community enterprises supported by Flourish).

crime. Also the word committed implies immortality. In mh we have changed our language would be good to see that go further. Destigmatise suicide and make it easier to talk about. If you want to know more just ask!

We are launching a support group for men. The weekly group will start on the 17th and provide an opportunity for men to meet and talk. Support will be provided by staff and volunteers from @SheffieldMind. @Sheffieldis @ShefFlourish

For those of you managing your mental health issues on your own, what stops you from getting support? Do you worry that you’re ‘not ill enough’?
It really calmed me down and grounded me enough to get home! It took 1min, and she got me to safety ❤❤
She said "Are you okay? I'm running late, for a wedding, buti want you to know, it will pass, whatever it is." And then she hugged me.
I burst into tears and was unable to breathe, I sat on a bench, ugly crying, gasping for air. It was busy, one lady dressed in a wedding outfit, was running late, she stopped. Loads of people could have, but only she did.
