Lowkey the people asking so bad for a Uekawa accurate 3D model is essentially just asking for the Modern Sonic model with better ears, sharper quills and thicker limbs. Which still just feels so Modern Sonic biased, like I want Sonic rounder damn.

Probably gonna sound like a purist, but JP is THE Sonic. The original Sonic. He’s the reason other adaptations even happened. You don’t have to like JP Sonic and you can still enjoy other adaptations more, but I feel like it’s a bit silly to not bring up JP Sonic’s importance.
Common misconception caused by localisation! Sonic’s canon age has actually been “15 - 16” ever since 1994. This was changed only in the overseas version of Sonic Jam to match with the western comics and cartoons. In Japan, he’s been 15 and a half for about three decades 😂

CD’s story is so perfect. Not just because of how well it conveys its message but also because it’s only really possible through a video game. Sonic CD can’t ever be properly adapted to a movie because a large part of CD is seeing the consequences of the player’s own actions.
Is the concept of environmental storytelling just lost on this fanbase? Sonic CD tells a story through the player’s actions. A story of a wonderful planet chained down by a horrible man, in which Sonic, with his infinite positivity, brings the planet to an even bigger glory.
