Do you know how many tons of coal and trees we burn to make solar panels? Yes, we burn down trees to make solar panels—not for placement, but for production. We burn 600 kg of charcoal and 300 kg of woodchips for every one ton of metallurgical-grade silicon. Solar panels.

Last July, rating agency Fitch warned a material rise in Canada’s deficits & debt-to-GDP could lead to a credit downgrade. The budget doubles deficits & increases debt-to-GDP. It’s also generationally unfair. It saddles younger Canadians with a mountain of new national debt.
