On December 19, 2022, over 50 civil society organizations sent a letter to President Biden urging him to publicly release his new policy on the use of lethal force outside recognized armed conflict.
An expansion of the Child Tax Credit--proven to slash poverty--would cost $12 billion per year, according to @CenterOnBudget, yet CTC expansion wasn't included in the omnibus. Meanwhile, lawmakers approved $45 billion more than what the president had requested for the Pentagon.
