Working to promote and develop the 65 bus service Joining up & involving the local communities along the route to ensure the bus is well-used and appreciated.

From 1st April 2024, the 65 bus service will be operated by @NewportBus with additional services at the beginning & end of the day operated by @MonmouthshireCC The new timetable can be found here - friendsofthe65bus.org.uk/wp-content/upl…

Worrying reports of the 1715 service from Chepstow being cancelled again at short notice, leaving passengers, inc schoolchildren, stranded. How are users supposed to get home at the end of the day? Lack of reliability -> loss of confidence @MonmouthshireCC @paulmatthews67

Have you thought about using a bus to do a walk? There are lots of circular walks along the route of our bus.But you can also arrange linear walks by using both the 65 & the 69 buses. Both buses welcome dogs & have friendly & helpful drivers. Why don’t you try it? @anslowcoaches

September is #CatchTheBusMonth Hop on board our new electric bus from Chepstow to Monmouth. Travel along one of the most picturesque routes with views to the Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) & Black Mountains. It’s good for you & good for the planet 🌎

Did you see us?? The film & the story of the 65 bus was the top item on @BBCWalesNews tonight! The story of how the bus was saved and how important rural bus services like the 65 are for local communities @BusUsersUK @BarclayBusUsers @MonmouthshireCC @PaulMatthews67

Bus operators say passengers could face more cuts to services without further government funding.

Friends of the #65bus were saddened to learn of the death of Queen Elizabeth II. As Monday 19th September is a Bank Holiday when we are invited to show our respects to the late queen, there will be no bus service. Normal service will resume on Tuesday 20th.

September is "Catch the Bus Month" so why not hop on the bus and see where your journey takes you. A trip on the #65bus would offer you some of the best views from a bus anywhere in Wales @BusUsersUK

Merry Christmas from the drivers and passengers of the #65bus. We all had a seasonal surprise this morning when Santa himself turned up to drive the bus! @MonmouthshireCC @visit_mon @PaulMatthews67 @RichardJohnRJ @Jane4MCC @BusUsersUK @BarclayBusUsers
