Big thx to @SoPhReview for their article on Carpenter Green in this weeks issue! bit.ly/1dYalFp @PhillySOSNA @CouncilmanKJ

Big thanks to @PhillyH2O and @CouncilmanKJ staff for meeting today about possible stormwater mgmt devices at Carpenter Green!

And that's where we are. Again join us the 4th Tuesday of every month at 7 PM at @PhillySOSNA office to help make Carpenter Green happen

11th, We hired @RWAPhilly to clean the lot of trash and debris. We still need to get rid of bricks and concrete that were illegally dumped.

Given the long list of "cannots" on the urban garden agreement, we installed a chain-link fence around the lot.

Cannot - permit illegal dumping, permit trespassing, permit fires on the property, permit tethered, unsupervised pets or any other animals.

What can we do and not do on the lot per the Urban Garden Agreement? Can - garden/landscape, clean, put up a storage shed, put up a fence.

Tenth, @PhillySOSNA worked with @CouncilmanKJ to get an Urban Garden Agreement from PRA to allow us to lease the land for one year.

Ninth, last night at the Carpenter Green meeting the team planned to take concept designs "on tour" of the neighborhood to solicit feedback

Eighth, Jake presented those plans to the @phillySOSNA membership at the october 9 SOSNA General Meeting to start getting feedback.

Seventh, we took the survey responses and let Jake, a landscape architect from our team, come up with concept plans for a park.

What did people say about our 4-legged friends? 60% want space for dogs, 20% don't want space for dogs, and 20% don't care.

What did people say belong in the park? 96% want trash cans, 92% lighting, 90.8% trees, 89% seating, 77% landscaping, 70% sustainable design

We got 500 responses to our survey. What did people say? Our neighbors love using public spaces like Rittenhouse, Julian Abele, and Fitler

Sixth, we surveyed the residents of the neighborhood to see what parks they use, & what they'd want to see at Carpenter Green.

Fifth, @PhillySOSNA and @CarpGreen thank @CouncilmanKJ profusely for helping preserve this land. Thank you thank you thank you thank you!!!
