Well what do we have here! Congratulations Populus!
Boulder, like a lot of other towns, has been really beat up since the start of Covid. Thrilled to see the reinvigoration taking place.
Sundance in 27’, Prime until 29’— Boulder just became the Mecca of film, art, and college football. S/o to @jaredpolis and @RickGeorgeCU lfg >>>
What do you all think? Denver has real culture and real wealth, including old money and the arts that old money supports. Many cities do not have that.
is denver the most overrated US city? bland ugly sprawl, culturally kansas city but with legal weed, covered in smog trapped by bowl of mountains, overrun by homeless and cookie cutter newbuild apartments renting for US$2000/mo
This is already happening across schools on the Front Range and many kids find this liberating and offering much needed relief from the expectation of being always on call.
Today, I am also announcing that we will be taking action to ban cell phones in our schools. Screens are negatively impacting our learning environments, drawing students' attention away from their classes, and becoming a barrier for teachers to do their jobs — no more.
I believe IB is talking about the Marshall Fire that consumed almost 1,100 buildings and killed 2 people at the end of 2021. The fuel in fires like this are homes and structures so it's still crazy to me they were rebuilt most on the same pads as the original buildings.
As someone who lived through the CO fires (old neighborhood gone, new house was .5 mile), here are some things that are going to happen: -cleanup crews are going spray special green foam over the sites to stop wind from picking up toxic ash -Use PPE if you touch it or ash.
We started Front Reign, a love letter to the Front Range and all of the activities and places available here, in large part because we want more dinner parties, more ski trips with families and friends and just more merriment outside the house.
Whoah, one other Covid change that stuck was staying home.
This is a really hard and emotionally-charged subject, but at the end of the day the global best practice is not to build in areas regularly affected by wildfires. This applies to Colroado as well. People rebuild homes weeks after a wildfire passes through their neighborhood.
My whole neighborhood is on fire. Feeling devastated but no news on my house. I’m told even our fire station is on fire
The first cafe / restaurant review we'll publish will be about Alpine Modern and it'll be a doozy.
Weather on the Front Range right now.
I started FrontReign in part to showcase the dinner parties and cocktail parties and get together and galas and soirées on the Front Range of Colorado. We all need to party more.
Colorado has real culture and money.
i always wanted to write a six-word story. here it is: ___ near the singularity; unclear which side.
Over the years, I have seen tremendous change @DENAirport! Feel like supporting a #BlackOwnedBusiness while flying? Check out Sunset Loop on @united Concourse B, Gate 53! Congrats to Chef Daniel Young for getting it opened! #NewYear2025
I don't want to be a hater, but Colorado only has two big companies.
When you learn Vail Resorts CMO prior job was 10 years at Comcast, everything clicks into place
Colorado is better than Montana, Wyoming, New Mexico, Arizona, Utah and Idaho put together.
If you're a man: optimize your life all you want, but don't tell anyone. You're not a 14 year old girl. You should keep details regarding your diet, your workout routine and how and when you sleep to yourself. To the outside world, be bold, be adventurous. Have taste and…
If FrontReign has a philosophy it's this.
We write for the part of Colorado who doesn't notice it's spending an extra $40 a month on eggs. Is this elitist? It is but if you own an $800k house, two $70k cars and vacation abroad when not skiing in/out in Colorado, Egg prices aren't a problem.
For those who care about their privacy: The only tech that you can be sure of not violating your privacy is tech that does not have the ability to collect any information about you. You can't trust anything else.
Is your car company violating your privacy rights? Concerns are arising after Tesla easily provided data to police after a Las Vegas truck explosion. denver7.com/science-and-te…
What's even more clear here is that Teslas are not cars you want to take into the mountains in the winter time. The driver knew what he was doing - he kept the Tesla off of I-70.
The Cybertruck bomber had to stop 8 times to charge his truck. No wonder he killed himself.
The end of an era. Thanks Mitch for putting in all the years.
Well, it's official: I am logging off for the last time as a member of the Daily Camera. I got to meet some amazing people and tell some amazing stories, and for that I will always be grateful.
