New York victorious but incredible heart from 14 man Cavan to battle back. There will be controversy with New York only entering the competition at the Semi-final stage but huge credit must go to Cavan who have only fielded a team since 2017.
4 minutes into the second half and it’s more or less game over. The concession of a cheap penalty has been a sucker punch to the Ulstermen. You’d have to feel for Cavan, have put in a ferocious battle but it feels like the odds are stacked heavily against them here.

I’m all for @NewYorkGAA competing in the hurling system, but parachuting them into a semi final after a round robin makes absolutely no sense. It’s an insult to the work that every other Tier 5 county has put into their season when 70minutes of hurling can see NY make a final.
