The name change process for trans Marylanders shouldn’t be arduous or antiquated. However, when it comes to marriage certificates - it is. Many have been told, that to change their name on a marriage certificate, they must get divorced and remarried. HB 369 would change that.

#SB1138 has FAILED to pass out of committee! HUGE THANKS to the parents, advocates, and trans youth that came out today in a strong and brave show of force to defend the rights of trans kids in Arizona and oppose legislation that bans gender-affirming healthcare.
