Using YAML to define serializers in PHP: bad idea or bad ass?

Spent a few days bending the Slim framework to my will. Just steps away from having solid auth and access control middle ware #PHP

Refactoring tests so I can write tests faster. Don't remember what the product is, but it's sure as hell going to have full test coverage.

I know I've said this before, but Vagrant is a godsend for local development. I've got 3 clones running with no port collisions.

Also, Can't figure out where to set xhprof.output_dir for #HHVM and don't want to pass it in each XHProfRuns_Default call.

Very impressed with #HHVM so far. Just running into some issues with _() and textdomain(). Apparently they're not thread-safe.

First experiment with #hhvm is a success. With basic load testing I'm getting a 40% improvement across the board over PHP 5.3.

Any good de-identification libraries out there? #Python, #Go, #Ruby all welcome.

. @yeoman is making me even lazier. I now expect scaffolding, linting (is that a word?), and building with a handful of cli commands.

Data is a nasty badger that makes super adorable knowledge cubs #datashift

Digging into corruption and gender violence data. NLP is going to play a role. Gonna look at what #GO has to offer after seeing #nltk speed.

I haven't spent this much of my time just writing tests in maybe forever. Yay? In #PHP no less.

Taking over an existing codebase is a roller coaster of megalomania and self-loathing. I'm having fun!

#Codeception seems good for PHP testing, but parsing valid JSON in the REST module has been a pain in the ass. Still, though. Because tests.

Bouncing back and forth between #python and #php is driving me crazy.

After playing with #python #nltk for a bit, the performance is definitely an issue. Anyone have experience with #GO #NLP libraries?

Just skimmed the Wired article: buff.ly/1mj4n62. Is #hack basically a fork of PHP with static typing?

I've heard #nltk is slow, but I'm only running POS on 2000 documents and it's taking forever!! I assume I'm doing it wrong.

Just ran into this for the first time: If there's a directory name with whitespace in the path of a #virtualenv, pip won't work inside it.

I did run into an issue using it with #phonegap in iOS. For some reason pushing to scope didn't update the map. Gonna try str8 leaflet.js
