I’ve seen how powerful young people become when someone truly believes in them. That’s why I created FunDonor. It’s not just about fundraising, it’s about giving young people a voice, real responsibility, and a chance to lead change in their own way.
I attended a business start-up event in the British Library’s Pigott Theatre today and was struck by unassuming and accessible Joe Wicks is. One line he shared hit me: “If you’re going to miss the bus, miss it whilst running for it.” That’s exactly the spirit behind FunDonor.
This week I shared my story with two influential people. They were powerful, respected, accomplished, and yet their stories humbled me. Listening to the paths they walked reminded me that behind every success is a journey, and behind every journey are unseen sacrifices.
If “Girl Math” can justify buying an iced coffee because it’s emotionally essential currency, then we can also apply that same playful logic to generosity. £5 to help a classmate or to back a micro-project is less than a Starbucks. £1 a day is cheaper than an Uber across town.
Last week, I received some truly constructive feedback from a LinkedIn contact, a talented visual strategist who has worked with Disney and Netflix. Their insights were critical and exactly what FunDonor needs. It’s already sparked change in how we will shape messaging.
I wanted to say a huge thank you to Kearn Cherry for inviting me to speak at her incredible Power Up Summit in London last weekend. It was an inspiring event filled with changemakers and visionaries.
When I talk about FunDonor, I don’t just share my project, I share why it matters. Storytelling is how we build empathy and inspire action. When you open up about your “why,” people feel it.
I'm excited to announce that I'll be a featured speaker at the Power Up Summit, taking place October 16 - 18, 2025, in London. Hosted by visionary Kearn Cherry, this world-class event celebrates leaders who rise higher, dream bigger, and create global impact.
What is real power? Power isn’t control, status, or wealth. Real power is helping young people believe in their voice. Join us at 50,000 Voices to amplify young voices that too often go unheard. Together, lets inspire the next generation to lead and shine.
Life will always challenge us to bend a little, shift timelines, adjust plans, or take some unexpected turns. That’s compromise. But one thing you should never compromise is your dream. Dreams are the compass of your purpose. Compromise on the journey, not on the destination.
At FunDonor, we feel that real change starts with passion. When young people are encouraged to follow what excites them, whether it’s art, music, science, or helping others, they learn that they can make a difference.
Every dream worth chasing will test you. Challenges rise, doubts whisper, and setbacks push harder than expected. But persistence is the heartbeat of every victory. You are capable of far more than you imagine. Believe in you.
At FunDonor, we believe young people hold the power to shape the future. Every movement for change starts small and with just $1, you can give young people the tools to make a difference. FunDonor empowers young people to connect with influencers.
Our unique crowdfunding initiative, 50,000 Voices, remains at the heart of FunDonor. To strengthen our ask, we’ve introduced an alternate funding route: a revenue share option for angel investors, stakeholders and fundraisers who want to back FunDonor and share in future returns
I’ve just returned from Mexico feeling renewed, with fresh energy and new ideas for FunDonor and our 50,000 Voices campaign. I'm engaging new volunteers and met with a funding specialist to explore new ways to raise grant funding. money for causes they care about.
I’m about to return home after a much-needed 10-day break, and I’m feeling fully recharged. Stepping away reminded me how vital rest is for restoring energy, sharpening focus, and unlocking creativity.
I'll be taking a much-needed 10 day holiday starting today. Rest isn’t just a luxury, it’s essential for creativity, clarity, and vision. After months of good progress with FunDonor and 50,000 Voices, it’s time to pause, breathe, & refuel the brain. Thank you for your support.
Last week, I attended a dinner hosted by the inspiring Mindy Gibbins-Klein, author, speaker, and coach to entrepreneurs. Gathered with 13 other thought leaders, we shared stories, insights, and a passion for purpose-driven impact.
The heart of progress lies in building connections. Last week, I spent time with Adam Smith of HelpBnk. Tomorrow, I’ll be connecting with Charles Choice and Lori Livacich. On Friday, I’ve been invited by Mindy Gibbens-Klein to join 10 thought leaders.
Last week I talked about patience paying off. This week, it’s about Networking with Passion. When your mission is driven by purpose, the right connections follow. I’ve been introduced to Charles Choice of the Do-Or-Dier Visionary Foundation, the person behind Rob Dyrdek’s work.
