I disagree with this outright opposition to Environmental Scorecard which provides design and community benefits as part of developments. Better to build in a fair process for dealing with objections than opposing the Scorecard #morelandcouncil
The majority view on Moreland council is that the only way you can get good development is by giving developers an incentive to build “good” developments. Usually the incentive is reducing the community’s right to have a say.
The Covid-19 pandemic has shown that privatisation and casualisation of care work has resulted in lower standards of care and low pay and no job security for the majority of the workers. This has led to the Covid-19 virus running rampant through parts of the community.
