I have 3 distinct fruit fly colonies in my apartment right now. The red-eyed kitchen colony, the black-eyed front hall colony, and the assholes who won’t die colony in my study. 😆
3 months ago I started substitute teaching in my local school district. It’s... interesting.

It's been an interesting two weeks. ☹ First my cousin dies. Then my dog dies exactly a week later. And now, exactly another week later and my aunt (mother of cousin) dies. Ugh.
My cousin died early this morning. So I have dubbed today "Check-in on your grad students' mental health" day. Please take a moment to check in and make sure they know the campus resources where they can get help if needed.

I had vaccine dose 2 yesterday and I get new meds dose 2 tomorrow. This week is looking pretty good!
I had a zoom call with my cousins today and my 4 year old cousin saw my cat for the first time. His first question: "Why does your dog look so funny?" LOL 😆 Good thing Jasper doesn't give a F#@*
It's been over 12 months since I caught a cold. I'm willing to wear a mask for the rest of my life if it means not catching another one. #MaskOn
My dog keeps checking in on me while he's on his rounds of the backyard. He's such a good boy!
I spent the last week participating in a workshop in a subject I haven't thought about in almost 2 years and, OMFG, my brain hurts so much I may be out of commission all weekend.
Why is dictation software so damned expensive? It's going to cost me nearly $1000 between the software and the mic I need for it. And why does my university's disability center only provide dictation software in ON CAMPUS labs?!?
