Reading the ‘Sixty Women Poets’ anthology ed. by Linda France (1993). It’s brilliantly hopeful. This Fleur Adcock is a great reminder to keep moving forward
I am absolutely devastated to hear about the death of Benjamin Zephaniah. When I think of him, I think of how inspiring his words have been for young people. He did so much for children's education. What a brilliant human. He will be missed by so many.
I’m on the list! So excited to be published alongside such amazing poets 💙 big congratulations to @joangv66 and many thanks to @ZoeBrigley and the judges!

Couple of new episodes up! This week I talked about magical realism in poetry, with a particular focus on the abhuman (an awesome word from the Gothic)
A lil 7-minute episode is up if you fancy writing a poem on your commute! Based on a poem about Mid-Autumn Festival by Nina Mingya Powles 🥮
New episode of the podcast is up today. I read a poem and excerpt from an essay by Louise Glück, and suggest a poetry prompt influenced by her work. She has had a huge impact on my writing and I hope this episode speaks to that.
Tomorrow! 💫

A Sunday selfie to say how honoured I am to have two of my poems - ‘Sake Bombs’ and ‘The Woman’ - published in issue 69 of The North. These poems were part of a series I did on meetings with strangers. 💚 Thank you @poetrybusiness for choosing my work
This week’s podcast episode came out Thursday! The writing prompt is inspired by Joelle Taylor’s theory of poetry as cinema. Plus I’ve included a tip from Elizabeth Bishop and a poem by Vicki Feaver - all in less than 10 minutes! Thanks to all who have listened 🥰
Woke up with wonderful lines in my head from the @ForwardPrizes 💚 what a fantastic night of incredible poetry
