I'm just a simple girl who loves sports. I also philosophize pretty well and play a mean bass.

I can't tell you how many times I've come close to leaving X altogether, but seeing normally sane people lose their ever-loving minds during NFL football games is worth the price of admission.

uh-ohhhhhhhhh.....still 7 point faves at the moment, so Vegas apparently thinks he's a go, but this does not bode well for Seahawks fans.

Seahawks QB Sam Darnold hasn’t thrown a football since he hurt his oblique Thursday. The Seahawks believe, but don’t know, that he will be OK to start tonight’s game vs. the 49ers. Backup QB Drew Lock took the reps the past two days and is ready if needed.

Here's how I know for sure I'm an old: the thought of sitting down and actually watching a podcast is my personal idea of hell.

Well, since ESPN (i.e., Disney) has acquired Red Zone we've been blessed with commercials (certain to increase season by season until we forgot what it was like to go commercial free) and today's audio snafu. Thanks #Disney #ESPN

I do not peruse right wing websites, pretty much only sports, so why does X insist on throwing all this conservative garbage into my timeline? It's irritating as hell.

Baseball fans, you will love this! A fascinating account of the Montreal Expo's dismantling and to absolutely no one's surprise, American business interests, once again, prove themselves to be the true villains of this sordid tale.

WHO KILLED THE MONTREAL EXPOS? Drops October 21st on @netflix Features interviews with Hall of Famers Pedro Martinez, Vladimir Guerrero Sr., and Larry Walker, along with beloved manager Felipe Alou, former employees, and diehard fans who lived through it all. FIRST LOOK:

For my fellow nerds going down the NBA gambling rabbit hole and are revisiting the Donaghy case, this is well-worth perusing and is much more informative than anything Donaghy himself is peddling.

People familiar with my work know this, but for those unaware (and for sharing) here is a Substack post detailing the *lack* of organized crime in the 2003-07 NBA betting scandal involving Tim Donaghy (sole source of the self-serving absurd "mob" claims) substack.com/home/post/p-16…

Trust me, #NBA fans, platforming Tim Donaghy is the last thing we should be doing right now. The guy will offer zero insights and has never come clean about what he was involved in (which was NOT mafia driven). Do yourself a favor and read Gaming the Game instead.

Can someone smarter than me tell me what the end game is for the NFL's increased effort to play so many international games this season? Overseas expansion is a non-starter, so is it ad revenue? It must be generating income somehow. #NFL

Even with a zilion safegaurds and opportunities for review, it's sort of gratifying to see NFL officiating remains a true dumpster fire of ineptitude. Keep doing you, NFL...#broncosjets

Yikes, Phoenix. Getting swept, benching starters while having no bench depth, head coach getting tossed from Game 4....woof...

Hell, yeah! Finally a top player is saying what needs to be said. Everyone in and near this league knows that Collier is speaking the truth.

Napheesa Collier’s full comments on Tuesday, via @adukeMN.

Sooooo......one might question the timing, however Reeve is 100% right about the physicality of the game being over the top. If you're a newbie to the W and are used to the NBA, you will likely be shocked at how much more physical the women's game is.

Cheryl Reeve goes off on the refs: "This is the look that our league wants for some reason. I wanna call for a change of leadership at the league level. For the leadership to deem those 3 people (refs) semifinals playoff worthy is fucking malpractice"

If you start paying attention to FG attempts, it becomes clear that refs could call a leverage penalty on 90% of them (maybe more). It's discouraging that "subjective" penalties are still deciding NFL games in 2025. #NFL

Denver offense is a big yikes so far. #Broncos

Jerry Jones has officially gone from "old guy with youthful demeanor" to "old guy who shouldn't be left alone when using the stove."

Ralphie is the honorary mascot to all of us who are also "indifferent to running." Happy retirement, girl!

Watching #SeattleStorm vets hobble up and down the court while the rookies sit on the bench and watch has made for an entertaining 2nd half. Would love to see the Valkries find a way to pull this out!

Thanks goodness we have WNBA game #2 because this first game is among the worst I've seen all season.

Yikes....Aces miss 4 layups in the last three minutes--one at the buzzer---to lose a game by a single bucket. Had the lead all game and couldn't close. Brutal season so far--with and without A'ja.
