Aspiring renaissance man. Chimichanga sommelière. Industrial & defense tech investor 🇺🇸 Prior Life: @SpaceX / @BlueOrigin / @DeptofWar @Penn_State Grad
Venture folk must learn that code can scale, but only atoms can defend. Real moats aren’t built on servers - they’re forged in factories, welded in shipyards, and tested in the real world. This is the way 🇺🇸
another reason why transforming the american industrial base into a cost effective alternative via new scalable and tech-enabled production is one of the best bets for venture dollars right now
no one needs to believe in you. momentum will. keep building. prove them wrong.
Founders: don't waste your time trying to convince a VC that is skeptical about your market. I think it's extremely unlikely to convince any allocator (VC, LP etc) to invest in a market they hadn't already decided to allocate to. Optimize for those investors that "get it"
Who's building (very) low cost effectors for cUAS?
Consistently surprised by general lack of world changing ambition with seed stage cos and “early stage” VCs. Era of incrementalism still prevalent
Patriotic Engineering 🇺🇸 Saturday with the fam in NOVA.

Two out of this world companies (and 8090 PortCos) in Detroit. Hardware is the moat. VCs must back factories. @atomic_inc and @noxmetals.

Had a wonderful time in Detroit meeting the @noxmetals crew! @JDarakd @KellyGibb2506
wicked awesome to have one of our investors stop in to the nox metals shop in detroit @GaruthAcharya touch metal!

Every industrial asset needs to be secure. The time is now. We must protect the homeland. @JoshuaSteinman and the team at @GalvanickCo are answering this call.
the flooding of chinese metals to american markets is not an attack or a price problem it's a domestic capacity problem every aluminum plate mill right now is out of capacity or won't take on new customers american manufacturers are forced to buy overseas bc a domestic issue
At the end of the day it’s founders who build, bleed, and win. Choose investors who know their role. To fuel your fire, not steal your spotlight and HYPE you TF up 🚀🦾
But Cix, how do I know if an investment is a good bet if I don't see the big boys put money in first? I can't invest without consensus~
3D printers in every lab, CNCs in every shop, cheap Arduinos & Pis everywhere, free open-source repos. Gates to hardware are wide open, yet most won’t build. Why? It’s not tools or cost it’s the discipline to design, fail, fry a board, and keep going
We raised $2.1m to arm embedded engineers with AI The round was led by @alley_corp alongside @forumventures @GoldHouseCo @Mana_Ventures and angels @GaruthAcharya @AjmeraArpan @singermarsh + active personnel in the DOD. Grateful for your support of @RootAccess_ai

you'll never get it if you don't ask for it
Da Vinci set the gold standard of the Renaissance man. Painter, inventor, and war engineer. The pursuit of excellence has always lived between creation and power.
We need a Build for America (BFA). The best minds straight into factories, foundries, and shipyards. Touch metal.
Make America Make Again There are really four major manufacturing clusters in USA. • North East Corridor • Rust Belt • LA • Texas Triangle In manufacturing there are clustering and network effects where proximity is an advantage. You have to physically move things…

Fear is an illusion. Persistence and determination is how we win. After decades of selling out the American people we are seeing a new generation of patriots rise to rebuild. We will win together. I’m optimistic for our future.
Good morning we are going to win
A sense of urgency will take you from average to extraordinary without any extra skill.
Proud to back @rootaccess and @RyanEppley as my first angel investment.
Root Access (@RootAccess_ai) is tackling one of the most overlooked chokepoints in American industry: programming complex hardware systems. When I met co-founder @RyanEppley in Detroit, the city itself reflected the story. Once a casualty of industrial decline, it is now a hub of…
