I was desperate for Liverpool to sign Van de Ven. Now you're all seeing why. We keep making the wrong choices in the transfer market. Should have signed Cherki over Wirtz. There was never any need to sign that rat Isak. Should have signed Van de Ven. List goes on and on.
Before a ball was kicked this season I said Arsenal would win the league, and I will be proven right. Everyone was saying Liverpool after we spent half a billion quid, but I wasn't impressed with our window at all. Arsenal are the champions for me.
World-class performance by Man City tonight. World-class. Telling you right now, Cherki is going to be some signing for them. Definitely a much better signing than Wirtz IMO.
For me, the best performance of yesterday was Arsenal's 3-0 win over Slavia Prague. Might seem like a wild take - until you remember tht Arsenal have Havertz, Gyokeres, Martinelli, Madueke and Odegaard all out injured. Elite management from Arteta to get that result.
