Fabulous first days birding in Hants of the year with great views of the Killdeer from 8am, Red kite then lesser spot, Firecrest, marsh tit in the forest, then the G.T.Grackle at Southdown Avenue and G.N.Diver of Hythe pier.👍
Beaulie Road. Great Grey Shrike still at 11.20 between in Bishops Dyke and edge of Denny Wood in dead birches just beyond flooded Dyke.
Normandy Lagoon-8.00 to 9 am.Long t duck still near upturned white boat,1 spot red,4 greenshank,16 barwits,60+knot,30 grey plovers,2 avocets, hundreds of Dunlin,6 little grebes,1 kingfisher,2 skylarks,50+ linnets,3 little egrets.

Great day yesterday with brilliant views of the Broad-Billed at Goldcliff and dropped into Fishlake on the way back and the Grasshopper warbler still showing well by first bench+Garden warbler and 3 hobbies,2 common terns.👍
Goldcliff-Brilliant views of the Broad-Billed Sand early morning from Curlew hide, then excellent prolonged views from Avocet hide with 1000 Dunlin, avocets, pintail,lesser whitethroat singing, and plenty common warblers around reserve👍
Good day at Pulborough this morning with Green-Winged Teal, l.r.plovers, 3 Cuckoos, lesser Whitethroat, many cracking nightingales singing away.Then finished off with a lovely Wood Sand+Common sand,2 l.r.plovers at Testwood Lakes near Totton.
Fishlake Meadows-8 am to 9.30. 1 Grasshopper Warbler,3 Garden Warblers,1 whitethroat,1 cuckoo,2 ravens and 2 common terns on Osprey platform.

Cocquet Island-A very absorbing twitch to See the Bridled in very challenging conditions showing pretty well from just after 3 in favourite spot but distant also Roseate, thousands of seabirds, and A, Black Tern at Beadnell on nest, I managed a lift with Devon birders.10.6.24.
Hi Mark, Do you know if there’s any shelter near Lower Hauxley Car park please? Typically the weather is not good and I dipped the Bridled on the Farne’s, I’m hoping to get a boat on Monday afternoon but they might not be Sailing due to rough seas?

Ireland-3.6.24-Brilliant trip to Ireland getting cracking views of Y.C.Night Heron, D.Cormorant then finished off with excellent flight views of the Least Tern at Portrane bringing in Sandeels,also dipper, cuckoo,5 Sanderling, thousands of Manx and 20+ black guillemots in Dublin.

A very enjoyable twitch up to see the Indigo Bunting showing well and singing at Whitburn, R b Shrike, tree sparrows, then 2 Temmincks,2 LR plovers, Red b Goose, Garganey, lesser Whitethroat, at Saltholme heading South.🦉🦅🦋🐟👍
Swineham- 1st w. Bonaparte’s Gull showing well on and off all morning on Bestwall floods by river Piddle,1 Wood Sand,1 Lr Plover,4 spotted reds,8 greenshank,1 avocet,1 W.t.Eagle, Osprey,3 marsh harriers,1 Little gull.
Normandy Lagoon- MARSH SANDPIPER still showing very well last night+ 1 Spotted Redshank,11+ Little Terns,1 whitethroat and nice mixture of common waders,7 Eider.21.4.24.
