The Deep Wisdom

Never give up. Ever. Even when the whole world tells you to. Even when it's obvious you are terrible at this. That way when you write a blog about your entire  journey of abject failure and humiliation, it'll be so sadly mesmerizing that the cash will pour in. You're welcome.

If you see bulls**t, Know a belief formula: You can try to believe in something good, and change the world. Or You can do nothing, and let what happens without you change your beliefs for the worse. If you think this is stupidly simple, Or ridiculously complicated, It is.

In darkness, Weaknesses will band together when they see strength: Your own fears and flaws will blind you to what you are capable of, And it sure as s**t is true of people who'll try to stop you. To defeat them Be inevitable. Be immovable. Do the good. And ignore the rest.

If there is a great wrong to be addressed, recognize it. If it needs to be spoken to, Speak about it. If it demands a reality that you, in good conscience, cannot allow to exist or continue, Drive your actions and life towards A day it will be resolved. Until it's this day.

There are times our future seems not only already written, but destined for a lot of work in the long haul. No matter. Recall the past, and if the present is nothing like you expected it to be, Then the measure of today is by no means the measure of tomorrow. Time to rewrite.

Perspective. It's the mechanism by which, at some future date, your mind will finally convince itself of something for its own sanity: That the sheer amount of idiots you had to listen to and endure this year were actually one big enormous  blessed lesson in disguise. Awesome.

Cynicism is boring. It warps any type of love into a simple inner conflict of happiness vs. pain and what you gain or lose in return. But life itself isn't one-dimensional; So, be complicated: Cultivate the ability to walk through flames while admiring the rainbows. Try it.

You might be the lion, or the food. Or even the ground they exist on. Mostly, you won't know for sure Even if you think it's obvious. So act in a way That speaks to the time when you'll be the opposite of the one you think you are. Because you could be. Because you will be.

It's hard to cover up who you are if you have the personality of an unrepentant stinker. In a turd proverb though, you'd be free to be either the turd that drives people away or one that gives strength to weaker, more vulnerable things than yourself. S**t can be deep too.

If you despair, And the clarity illuminating your way out is gone, Remember- In darker times, there's another perspective; in moments of nothing, you can rest from the normalcy of the world and look for hidden doors. In the absence of light, Draw strength from the shadows.

Cliches are great But you end up wondering where the hell reality fits in. So try this one: Reality will s**t on your face until you realize that no matter what the circumstances are, there is nothing in existence that can truly trap you. And see yourself as free. Beautiful.

Fear isn't blocking you from the front. It's crouching behind you, heavily pressing down on your shoulders with Past thoughts and prejudices whispering that there's something in the way when in fact there isn't. So to hell with it and move. Even if you feel like you can't.

Often it's not a memory of the time life was different, But a memory of when YOU were different and believed that things could easily be changed. And then the a**wipes around you interrupted those blissful thoughts with their noisy bulls**t. Well. The harder way it is, then.

The ghosts of what we should have done haunt us all the time. Could. Would. So, be harsh. See them clearly with the same jaded lens they ended up giving you- The things you failed to change before, and what you know to do right now; Don't waste one more second regretting.

And sometimes the realist realizes the boat is actually still docked because they've surrounded themselves with idiots. While the quote can be about taking action, think of it as a message- don't find yourself adrift on a hostile, stormy sea with total incompetents. You get it.

Follow them into the hell they're heading towards, so that they only have to turn around and grab you if they want to leave. But carry a map and a stick in case the fool's intention is to pull you both further in. Because you're no idiot and this is not just a touching message.

Think: most fights are not worth suffering any kind of loss - physically, emotionally or mentally. Those are not the important ones. However, if just the thought of not trying is far more devastating to your soul than the possible grim reality of defeat, pick up your gloves.

Cheer up. The things you are limited by Will lead you to do the kind of s**t that never occurred to you - things you didn't know you were capable of doing. Going down highways you'd never consider taking. That's either chillingly ominous or incredibly uplifting. You choose.
