@fluxb0x We do not send SMS with codes. We rely on using a 2FA app to receive the authentication code. Please see doc.gitlab.com/ce/profile/two…

@joerg_klein if your deploying with git push you'll just be updating. You can use our CI to deploy and also include tools like Capistrano.
