What an awesome sunset - such a fabulous way to bring 2025 to a close! This is the view just over the fields from my home...I can't help thinking: 'Red Sky at Night, Shepherds' Delight!'
I am deeply humbled to be honoured in this way. It is critical we do all we can to highlight the harm that LGBT+ people tragically face when they are told that who they are is unacceptable, as it causes deep psychological trauma due to unbearable levels of self-hatred & shame...
A wonderful Christmas present, just heartbreaking my mother is not able to share in this good news..
All good things must come to end at some point...
We close the @OzanneFoundn today, after 8 years of working to tackle prejudice & discrimination of LGBT+ people by religious organisations. As I say in our press release: 'It is perhaps no coincidence that organised religion continues to face significant decline.. 1/2
2/2...as increasing numbers of people vote with their feet over the treatment of LGBT+ people. For example, you cannot preach a message of unconditional love and then place conditions on who is and is not allowed to receive it.’ Go well & God Bless.

Oh, just get on with it & go!! GAFCON's been threatening to leave for years but has never had the courage to do so. It's time they stopped blackmailing us & left, taking their homophobic hate with them - we can then get on with preaching a Gospel of Love gafcon.org/communique-upd…
Wonderful evening last night celebrating the creativity on our island - first recognising the healing work @olympiamcewan does with Bailiwick Social Prescribing & then with the Sarnia Arts & Crafts Exhibition, where I bought a piece by @gillharrisonart Thoroughly recommend both
“As a former @OzanneFoundn Trustee I am very grateful to ++Cherry for her encouragement & support through what have often been quite bruising years for us both within @churchofengland I long for a day where being LGBT+ is no longer a barrier to preferment" thetablet.co.uk/news/uks-first…
This is a significant & welcome shift in UK Foreign Policy Having worked in the Middle East on the religious track of the peace process I am clear that the only sustainable way forward is a two-state solution. It requires strong leadership from all sides bbc.co.uk/news/live/cdrk…
So grateful to @AnnelieseDodds, my MP for many years, for her constant support of #LGBT & #Faith communities It's been a privilege to work with her, especially on the #conversionpractice ban, which I hope will be published soon (evidently @10DowningStreet still committed to it)!
Last night in the @UKHouseofLords surrounded by many of my friends with whom I've worked so closely over the years, I announced I would very soon be stepping down from all my work in the #religion/#LGBT space. It's time for a new chapter - it's time to pass the baton on...
Loving this new era for the #Guernsey States (group photo below), where we unanimously got behind Lindsay de Sausmarez's choice of P&R colleagues, uncontested. Congratulations to @dep_parkinson @gavinstpier @letocq @stevefalla
Today I swore the oath of Member of @Govgg & so became Deputy Ozanne - a position I have the privilege to hold until June 2029. I'm thrilled that not long afterwards, we elected Lindsay de Sausmarez as our first female President of Policy & Resources (#Guernsey's Chief Minister)
Thrilled that #Oxford Religion & Law Journal has this week published my joint research paper with Prof Garcia Oliva & @HPMHall on 'Spiritual Lawfare' This sets out the misuse of litigation by religious groups to undermine the human rights of #LGBT+ people academic.oup.com/ojlr/advance-a…

Very special moment - mum & I voting together today in #Guernsey elections...thinking too of Dad today and thanking him enabling us to be rooted in this 'gem of the sea', which is our home...
2/2 I felt led to write about my meeting with Pope Francis and the fruit it had borne, in the form of the Global Interfaith Commission on LGBT+ Lives. Little did I know how timely these would be...
Who'd have known the timing would be so apt..? In August last year I was asked to write a series of short reflections for Anglican Link for their Easter 2025 issues, where they wanted to focus on LGBT matters and the Church. 1/2
Trans women have used women’s toilets for decades without issue. Why are self-proclaimed “feminists” focusing on this made up problem, when there is a real problem of rising male violence in the UK? They’re not helping women - they’re driving trans people out of public life.
