Costumes, creativity, and collaboration—Library Services Flex Day Training Workshop had it all! Dallas ISD librarians are leading with impact and imagination to make literacy come alive for students. @DISDLibrarian @CharissaGovan
Yesterday was Taco Day so we celebrated by reading "Dragons Love Tacos" by Adam Rubin and creating our own taco parties and taco rescue adventures. We have some very creative gators. @goochelementary @DISDLibrarian @DISD_Libraries
Our Leamos Juntos event was a fun way to celebrate Hispanic Heritage and culture. We read "I Am La Chiva!" by Karol Hernandez and "Adela's Mariachi Band" by Denise Vega. Students then played a fun "Who Am I" game with storybook characters and created buses. @goochelementary

👀Did you spot some familiar faces during Sunday's @dallascowboys game? Our very own @Sunset_Bison dance team lit up the field with a vibrant Folklórico performance to kick off Hispanic Heritage Month! 💃✨
Last night's Teddy Bear Sleepover was a blast. We read, played games, shared robots, and even saw a puppet show. All of my friends have to go home today, but I'm so happy they came. Later Gators! @goochelementary @DISD_Libraries @DISDLibrarian

Happy Cheese Pizza Day! We read the hilarious "Pete's a Pizza" by William Steig. The upper grades created a Good Day Pizza, and the lower grades made their own slices. I even received a fun pizza airplane from a student. @goochelementary @DISD_Libraries @DISDLibrarian
