If wearing multiple hats led to growing a second head... Hmmm, I'm not sure how to finish that one, but it would be nice.

Does anyone in my network have any personal experience with .NET Core Blazor? I’m trying to sift through the hype and I’d love to hear some real-world feedback.

Thank you, @ID_AA_Carmack, for making something that heavily influenced me as a programmer.

It is Quake 3’s 20th Anniversary today. I still have one of the trade show launch props in my garage.

In honor of National Video Game Day, I'd like to share something that heavily influenced me as a software engineer and set me down the path of algorithms, optimizations, and low level hacks. github.com/id-Software/Qu…

I agree with this. TDD is best utilized as a thought exercise. If you write code *as if* tests were written first, it leads to a better mental model during implementation. For that tricky 5%, actual TDD is valuable.

I like Test Driven Development. But I only do it ~5% of the time. The rest of my tests are written post-implementation. I think this is fine.

Kalon has the right idea. Furthermore, a basic understanding of how computers actually work, rather than believing they’re magic, goes a long way toward modern day literacy.

For some perspective, I looked into extremely low level memory management: the Launch Vehicle Digital Computer from the Saturn V rocket, circa 1962. Once you learn how that was done, you'd agree that the way we program computers today is, at best, computationally irresponsible.

MacRumors keeps censoring or removing my posts whenever I reference anything that goes against an LG product. Interesting.

So many people to deal with, my brain is sometimes blanking on names of people I have dealt with for quite a while. Not an LRU capacity miss, so I must not have enough set associativity.

If the US DOJ argued with a straight face that I could have whistled the codes to launch an ICBM in Federal Court, what could they possibly say about Assange if he ends up in a US courtroom? cnn.it/2E0rhyL

I have so many ideas... I wish I could just take a vacation and do nothing but code, comoletely uninterrupted by life.

Hey Tampa, let's continue to inspire our youth to pursue STEM fields and continue to grow Tampa into a technology hot spot. My wife and I create out-of-this-world holiday light displays that get kids interested in science, technolo…lnkd.in/ekvrCwJ lnkd.in/ecMGpJr

The problem isn’t Java; it’s the layers upon layers upon layers upon layers upon layers upon layers upon layers upon layers upon layers upon layers upon layers upon layers upon layers upon layers upon layers upon layers upon layers upon layers upon layers... of abstraction.

Clean code goes wayyyy beyond formatting rules. Be a team player and write simple, easy to follow code. Think about future maintainability.

Best phrase in today's tech discussion: 'this is computationally irresponsible'. If only this was used more often!

Working toward something I believe in has made me into a morning person. All those deep quotes were right. #lovewhatyoudo

The harder you work, the luckier you get. I think test automation is hard work, unglamorous, and important. What do you think?

It seems like some software releases are one step forward / one step back, and you need to be lucky for your desired feature set to work.

Hahaha! Seems like sorting wins versus content matching.

Searching Amazon for recently published books on MPEG gives unexpected results. amazon.com/s/ref=sr_st_da…
