As we do annually, the leaders of the USCCB had an audience with the Holy Father. This was the 1st time we met with Pope Leo. It was a wonderful experience. At the end, the Pope and I took a moment to talk about the Brewers-Cubs series. Since he is a Sox fan, we agreed on much.

Only weeks after turning 106 years old, Sister Jean Dolores Schmidt has died. osvnews.com/from-final-fou…
Sister Jean, our beloved friend and inspiration went home to the Lord today. She nurtured the mind and spirit of her students and all who came to know her with dedication, a firm belief in our faith and a sharp sense of humor. May she rest in the peace she so richly deserves.
Pope Leo XIV handwrites the letter as his first Apostolic Exhortation is published today. "May 'Dilexi te' help the Church to serve the poor and help bring the poor to Christ," he said, in English. He made as his own a text unfinished by Francis, who put the poor center stage.

Described as an exercise in “continuity” with Pope Francis, the apostolic exhortation is an ode to the 265th Successor of Peter while at the same time a further indicator of the priorities of the 266th. The title “Dilexi Te” (I have loved you) — taken from an expression of…

France once again proves faith revival. Lourdes saw record turnout for the annual Rosary Pilgrimage, with 17,000 pilgrims from Oct. 2–4 - the highest number since the Dominican-led event began in 1908. Btw - how beautiful Lourdes is in the fall! @OSVNews osvnews.com/rosary-pilgrim…

Jesus wants to be close, rekindle hope, on life's journey, pope says osvnews.com/jesus-wants-to…
Today we met with Pope Leo to share the pain, fear and hopes of the immigrant community in the US at a time of mass deportation. ‘You stand with me’, the pope said. ‘And I stand with you’.

Pope: Sometimes we think the Lord comes only during spiritual fervor, when we feel worthy, when our lives appear orderly & bright. Instead, he is close to us in our failures, frayed relationships, our daily struggles, the doubts that discourage us. Nothing is foreign to him.

Pope Leo XIV: Christ’s resurrection teaches there is no disappointment or sin that it cannot be visited by hope. No fall is definitive, no wound must remain open forever. However distant, lost, unworthy we may feel, nothing can extinguish the unfailing power of God’s love.

Today, with @BishopSeitz and members of the immigrant community, @HopeBorder met Pope Leo and gave him messages and a video from those fearing Trump’s mass deportations. ‘The church cannot stay silent before injustice. You stand with me. And I stand with you’, the pope said.

The Rosary is a great way to meditate on Christ’s life & grow in our faith…if we can pay attention for it 😅 Here are 6 tips for staying focused during the #Rosary from the lived experience of a very distractable nun:
