Life update: My first semester as an assistant professor, I was diagnosed with stage 2 cancer and spent the last 3 months in chemotherapy. An absolutely brutal experience, but I just celebrated my first clean scan & am excited to start next semester from a better place.
Last week, I successfully defended my Ph.D. research proposal titled “Understanding Waterbird Habitat Relations within Antebellum Rice Fields Using Drones and Autonomous Recording Units in Coastal South Carolina, USA.” Excited about the journey ahead!
