The Georgia State Senate successfully passed 53-0 the transformative Senate Bill 371, known as the "Daniel D. Podsiadly, Jr. Act," on Thursday, February 29, 2024. This landmark bill, which aims to revise the current Workers' Compensation laws for Georgia's peace officers.

UPDATE: Henry County Sheriff Reginald Scandrett confirms, the suspect accused of killing 4 people in the city of Hampton is dead after a Sunday afternoon manhunt. A sheriff's deputy, and a Clayton County police officer, were injured in the process. Stay tuned for more details.
The Henry County Sheriff's Office is offering a $10K reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of Andre Longmore. He’s accused of killing 4 people in the Dogwood Lakes area in Hampton, GA. If you have information, call Crime Stoppers, You can remain anonymous.
