Enterprise Architect and Solutions Builder - Just Re-Booting

Great article on what I now know is the Reference Panel. And can now remove the stuff I don't need. Just finding its name was a chore. Now realise its yet another 'you can only edit in Classic mode' component. 😭 Thanks so much to Dian @D365Goddess d365goddess.com/dynamics-365-r…

Back in old Dynamics CRM days, "track in CRM" experience inside Outlook was the key selling point of Microsoft over Salesforce. It's a different world today, and Viva Sales seems to promise similar integration - whether you use #MSDyn365 or #SFDC. microsoft.com/en-us/microsof…

Found bug in Power Platform using a custom publisher. Beware creating web resources directly from shortcut in form builder - it defaults to generic MS prefix on web resource, not your custom one. Add via all objects area and it's fine.

Kudos to @crmanswers for his DataVerse REST Tool within the CRM Toolbox. Panicked when I couldn't find @JLattimer version - 404 on github, but this new tool worked a treat. Thanks Guido 😀 github.com/GuidoPreite

Foray into PCF development for @MSPowerApps today, with the default slider control, the example worked in debug first time 😲but making VS Code work with Node.js, MSBuild etc was painful... got there, just not brave enough to deploy solution without a clear head. 😉

So much in Power Platform Model Drive @mspowerplat apps is old school Dynamics CRM, but so much has changed. Tabs are back in forms 😎haven't seen them for over a decade and UI is cleaner, but still full of many quirks that go back to CRM 3 😉

Getting my head around namespaces, file naming conventions and best practice in relation to @MSPowerPlat - it's been tricky but got a great insight form this article and made it work. dynamicshelper.blogspot.com/2017/09/dynami…

#Windows11 installed the insider preview this morning - without incident 🙂 Not sure about start - had it gone full apple with start button in centre with enlarged icon it would make sense - just centralizing the menu doesn't really work. Thankfully easy to switch back 😉

For #Dataverse coding, I'm using some extension methods to ease the writing. I thought it was a good idea to share these little code snippets. I created a Github organization so that I can share how they code. Do not hesitate to join and contribute ow.ly/172i50EADyx

Dynamics Team licences will affect design choices. Many developers use Lookup as alternative to Option Sets. Advantage is users can maintain the data served as a list themselves reducing dev work. Unfortunately, each lookup to a custom entity uses one of your 15 entity allocation

Great series of articles by @jukkan on D365 licencing. Wonder how many businesses retreat from platform due to fear of escalating cost, complexity, and pace of change. Licencing needs simplification as lines between Microsoft 365 and Dynamics blur jukkaniiranen.com/2020/04/why-po…

Why Power Platform licensing is complex, part 1: products - Jukka Niiranen blog

The changes in how Microsoft positions the various products in its portfolio are a common source of confusion and misunderstanding on Power Apps licensing.

Occasionally Twitter surfaces a real gem. This will help enormously during my refresh learning project.

grep.app has earned a coveted spot on my bookmarks bar. It might not have all the source code on GitHub indexed but, gosh, it's fast and gets the job done.

Well its not 😒 Many of us are still waiting. Understocked is the new norm, which unfortunately prevents many newcomers and fans accessing the product. - tired of trying. warhammer-community.com/2021/04/03/the…

Incredible free resource from @Microsoft and @packtpub dropped into my inbox this morning. For anyone who don't know Packt they have a great library of training resources including many free ones. Azure for Architects, Third Edition azure.microsoft.com/en-us/resource…
