The third Saturday in May is Armed Forces Day, a day to recognize the men and women of the active duty Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, and their reserve components. This day is lesser known than Veterans Day for all veterans, and Memorial Day.
In 2019, we had 693 inquiries for assistance. Last year HHFF assisted almost 3,000 family members with emergency financial assistance, Christmas gifts/meals, event attendance and counseling.
One question we always get is how do we put your donations and support to work to help our military families. Well, our mission is to assist the families of the fallen, wounded and deployed with financial emergencies like rent/mortgage, car payments and utilities.
