A surgery resident once told me “even nightmares are dreams”
I feel like the most common responses to “how are you?” In the hospital are “Living the dream!” (good) Or “Oh, you know…” (bad)
Ok real talk #EMTwitter #pedstwitter, I struggle to make my anticipatory guidance logical here. Like let concussed pt sleep, don’t try to wake them up, but if you can’t wake them up/they’re extremely sleepy that’s an emergency. I know what I mean but…anyone have a better spiel?
Keeping people awake after a concussion. It’s a routine part of my concussion education to patients/families not to wake their loved one up constantly.
