My #WorldMentalHealthDay would be so much better if you stopped dumping raw sewage and wet wipes down my local river. #savethelea
It's #WorldMentalHealthDay, we're reminding everyone that getting outdoors can really help your wellbeing. We have several outdoor spaces in our region but even if you can't make it to one of them, just having a short walk where you live or even standing outside will do wonders!
The most draconian parts of the @CanalRiverTrust “safety zones” are going ahead. Join us at Daubeney Fields on Sunday to show @CanalRiverTrust that we can see through their lies.

Even though CRT backed down over the so called 'safety zones', they are continuing to put up “no mooring” signs at 33 sites between Tottenham & Hackney and 9 sites in Broxbourne. These are all the places CRT were planning to make no mooring as part of the 'safety zones'. 1/3

"Sewage pipes are being replaced so slowly by water companies that it will take 2,000 years to renew the whole network at the current rate". Water companies have paid out over £60bn in dividends to shareholders. Now you know how they did it. thetimes.co.uk/article/sewage…
The colours on our juvenile male #kingfisher are simply outstanding, they are amplified on a dull day. Love seeing this chap on the River Lea. #Hackney #HackneyMarshes #LondonBirds #BirdsSeenIn2021 #TwitterNatureCommunity #birds #nature #birdphotography
A diligent & compelling case made for the water industry regulator @Ofwat to prioritise the health of rivers. By preventing adequate investment in infrastructure Ofwat has made rivers carry the burden. It's why they are used as an extension of the sewer system or over-abstracted.
Alongside @AnglingTrust we have sent a stark message to Government that a continued under investment in management and regulation of the water sector will have dire #environmental and #economic consequences. Read here: ow.ly/Iymy50GgUZl

Last chance to object to the planning application which will block enough sunlight from our allotment to make growing impossible for most plots. We were promised a more considerate development. And want the new community there - but not like this!
We need your help to save our allotments! New buildings surrounding the perimeter will block out the sunlight essential for growing plants. (Detail in the thread below) Email [email protected] with application ref 21/00403/OUT and tell them you object.
