Please don't cut back ivy too hard in your garden! Right now, it's superb nesting habitat for birds. In autumn, its flowers will offer late-season food for pollinators like bees, butterflies, hoverflies. Then it'll offer winter berries for birds 🐝

Time to tweet or get off the plot! We will not doing the latter. We love our @HalesowenBloom @RHSBloom plot. After limited visits last year, it was great to restart regular meet ups early May. It's only tweeting I've neglected (sorry, fellow WIn Bloomers!)

Feels like a long battle hard fought to get lavender & achillea/yarrow going during all rain & no sun, then the flip of all sun & no rain. But today all the little 'uns that filled a car months ago are suddenly looking so much bigger & blooming!
We are still working on our little pond creation for our wildlife garden at home. I’ve created some little toadstool fairy tree stumps for my two nature loving kids to sit and watch, observe and draw the wildlife that visits our garden x so excited to see what turns up 🐞🐝🐸
