When teams of similar talent compete against each other, the difference will be in the intangibles. The competitive advantage will often go to the team with the stronger culture. That team believes in each other more, handles adversity better, and understands the little things.
PARENTS: If you only cheer for your child during an athletic event, then don't be surprised if others do the same. Before you know it, there will be an atmosphere of selfishness and entitlement surrounding your child's team.
PLAYERS: A coach's job can't always revolve around making you happy. A coach's job is to help make your team better.
