Half-term reading ... 'Everything is Beautiful' by Eleanor Ray. Definitely resonates with me; we all have stuff we collect at some part of our lives (for me it's stationery!) & all have our reasons for doing so. Made me empathise more with those in the main character's situation

I’m writing something about the experiences of women who go into teaching as a second career. If you’d be willing to share your experience with me, I’d be hugely grateful. @WomenEd Please RT for a larger sample.

A brief argument with Hobbes.

Will you go 'self-care' or 'self-comfort' this summer? Or a balance of the two? Self-care = activities that replenish your emotional, physical and mental energy levels. Self-comfort = activities that may feel good at the time, but don't last long For me it's a bit of both!

Congratulations to these teachers from @ElsleyPrimary and @byron_court for completing a 4 day course in Coaching Skills for Leaders. The course began in 2019 so the teachers are really happy to have finally completed it. Thank you so much to @HTcoach for her excellent training!

Looking for about 5 volunteers to give me feedback on a freebie I've created for school leaders (including #SLT staff). It's a quick 5-step framework to avoid burning out by lunchtime! Message me if you can help 😀

3 Tips to Boost Resilience (which is your favourite?) 1) Remind yourself: you're doing the best you can with the resources you have at each given moment 2) Monitor your self-talk. If negative, choose more helpful thoughts 3) Plan in 1 - 3 min. relaxation techniques into your day

Laughter/smiling increases positivity & energy levels, and helps reduce worry. How are you staying positive at the moment? What kinds of things make you laugh?

One of the biggest advantages of training to be a coach has been the ability to turn these skills on to myself, and show others how to do the same. Here's my latest post sharing one of these skills you can use to navigate challenging times. bit.ly/31W1seD

We have been informed some parents have received an email stating: ‘As schools will be closing, if you're entitled to free school meals, please send your bank details and we'll make sure you're supported’. This is a scam email - do not respond, and delete immediately.
