In 2014 @SmithsonianDPO we digitized nearly 45,000 bumblebee specimens @NMNH with @NMNH_Entomology in just 8 weeks. In 2019-2020, we completed the remaining 18,000 bumblebees and digitized an additional 12,000 carpenter bees - a total of nearly 75,000 specimens in 15 weeks.
