We'll begin our inquiry into Children in Temporary Accommodation by hearing from homelessness organisations and local authorities tomorrow.
Really welcomed to see a focus on this area of homelessness and housing. I’m pleased to be attending this inquiry next week and representing LA’s in my role @RochdaleCouncil to give oral evidence and hopefully some key insight, and best practice.
More than 150,000 children in England are living in temporary accommodation according to the latest government statistics. Our first inquiry of this Parliament will look at their experiences and how temporary housing can be improved. Find out more 👇

A customer on our Rochdale A Bed Every Night service had to put her degree on hold due to her living situation and lack of childcare. She's now settled in our family accommodation and has felt able to return to her studies, completing an 8 week work placement at a local hospital
