Time to close up shop. It was fun while it lasted! Thanks to everyone for supporting us along the way. For everyone interested, Handoff will remain available and online on a best-effort basis.
A while ago, I’ve made the hard decision to quit Handoff, the design tool that translates to code. So... one more to add to the startup graveyard. 😅 A short story:
🆕 The Figma to Handoff plugin is now live on the @figmadesign community! Give it a try with your Auto Layout enabled Figma designs, and let us know what you think! 😉 figma.com/community/plug…
Exciting times ahead! 🔥
Coming to @Handoff_app later this year – the @figma to Handoff plugin! ⚡️ ✔︎ Copy-paste designs from Figma to Handoff ✔︎ Converts Figma Auto Layout to CSS flex ✔︎ Converts Figma color tokens to CSS variables ✔︎ Auto imports components, images, vectors and more
Go check out the v0.3-alpha ✨
Improving the tactile design experience is easily my #1 favourite thing for me to work on for @handoff_app. The v0.3-alpha is out now, and it brings a number of cool improvements, such as these on-canvas margin/padding controls. 😍👇
Soon... 💫
Almost ready for the @Handoff_app release: Style tokens! Lets you define a color palette and text styles to create themed designs. With these tokens, it becomes a bliss to quickly explore different themes based on the brand's properties. 😏
Just posting this here to get some eyeballs on our new logo. What do you think? 👀
🤯 If only your design tool could do this... Check out this @Pinterest UI, built in @Handoff_app. ✔️Fully responsive ✔️Exportable to a plug-n-play library of UI components. Take note, @PinterestEng 😜
Accessibility is a big argument for no-code tools. There’s a reason why still only <0.3% of the world population knows how to code. Despite all the frameworks and tutorials out there, the barrier to entry is high, esp. for people without schooling or background in IT.
